Privacy policy
We collect as little as possible. This page explains what, why and your rights. Last updated 8 November 2026.
Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Tomáš Hrubý, IČ 24431346, Zastrčená 354/4, 141 00 Praha 4 – Chodov, trading as Amelis Audio. You can reach us at info@amelis-audio.com or +420 725 884 782.
What we process and why
When you contact us
We process your name, contact details and message to answer your enquiry or discuss using Amelis. The legal basis is steps taken at your request before entering into a contract and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We keep correspondence for as long as needed, up to three years after our last contact, unless the law requires otherwise.
When you use Amelis
For licences and demos, we keep your name, e-mail address, Customer ID and a device identifier. Demo checks also use a network identifier to prevent repeat demos. App check-ins record the time, country, app version, Mac model and macOS version. The check-in log does not store your IP address.
We use this information to manage licences and demos, understand compatibility and provide help. The legal basis is our contract with you and our legitimate interest in running and protecting demos (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Licence records are kept while the licence exists, demo records for as long as needed to prevent repeat demos, and check-in records for one year.
When you use LiveComms
Optional analytics report the app version, Mac model, macOS version, country and a random installation ID separate from your crew identity. Daily usage totals include hosting or joining, approximate connected time and counts of cues sent and received. No cue content, station names, crew lists or show files are sent.
Reports are sent at most once a day while disconnected. Unsent totals stay on your Mac for up to seven days. You can disable reporting in Settings, which also clears pending totals. Sessions work without internet.
We use reports to understand app use and compatibility. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining LiveComms (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); you can object by turning reporting off. Reports are kept for one year. The reporting log does not store your IP address; a temporary network identifier used to limit abuse is kept for up to 15 minutes.
Your account
For your account, we keep your e-mail address, any name and phone number you provide, passkey registrations, signed-in devices and approximate locations, and a record of sign-ins and account changes. We also keep billing details and invoices. We use this information to provide and secure your account, based on our contract with you and our legitimate interest in account security (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Update e-mails are optional and based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can turn them off, download your account data or delete your account in Settings. Account records are kept until deletion, sign-in records for one year, and invoices for as long as accounting law requires.
When you ask for support
We process your name, e-mail address, optional phone number and Customer ID, messages, attached files and the app details on the support form to resolve your request. Tickets are accessible through their private link or your account.
The legal basis is our contract with you and our legitimate interest in providing support (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Tickets and files are kept for as long as needed, up to three years after our last contact. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
When you visit the website
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device and does not build a profile of you. It shows us only aggregated figures such as page views, referring sites, countries and browser types. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Our hosting provider also processes technical data such as your IP address when delivering the pages, to keep the website secure and running. These logs are kept only briefly.
When you download LiveComms from the website
We record the app version and time of download requests to understand interest in LiveComms. These records contain no visitor name, e-mail address, IP address or device identifier. Our hosting provider briefly processes connection addresses to limit automated requests. This adds no cookies or browser storage.
Who else processes data
We use a few providers that act as our processors. Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the website, the licence and update service and the support desk, and provides security and analytics. Google Ireland Limited (Google Workspace) runs our e-mail. Resend, Inc. delivers contact-form messages, download notifications and support-desk messages. Some of them may process data outside the EU; such transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.
Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To use any of these rights, write to info@amelis-audio.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, uoou.gov.cz.
